Special Voices provides exciting, non competitive, ensemble musical performance and social participation opportunities for children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
The Vision of Special Voices
Special Voices provides a comprehensive, multi-level educational, social, and recreational experience. Through the process of rehearsal and performance, children learn teamwork, discipline, memorization, instruction following, commitment, punctuality, and how to make a public presentation. In addition to these elements being essential to educational, social and recreational development, they are also fundamental to occupational success. The Special Voices experience allows children with disabilities the opportunity to develop performance art skills, to build self confidence and to participate in an interactive joyful sharing of their skills with other Special Voices performers, their families and their community.
